Power BI is licensed per user, with Pro or Premium Per User licences, or through a Fabric capacity for larger organisations. Licence prices change, so check Microsoft's current pricing. Our consulting is quoted separately, after a free consultation.

No. Power BI Pro and Premium Per User work without Fabric. Fabric makes sense if you're on Power BI Premium capacity, have a large number of report viewers or need a full data platform. Read Microsoft Fabric vs Power BI.

Yes. Power BI connects to Excel, SQL databases, cloud apps and most accounting and ERP systems. When there are several messy sources, we often build a small data model or pipeline first, so reports stay fast and accurate.

A first set of dashboards usually takes 3 to 6 weeks. That includes agreeing KPI definitions, connecting the data and setting up automatic refresh.

Excel is great for analysis and one-off models. Power BI is built for shared, automatically refreshed dashboards with proper security, so everyone sees the same numbers without emailing spreadsheets around.
